It is my intention to create for you a similar set of webpages that I personally use to save time dealing with travel companies and recruiters. Many of the Travel Companies have accepted my forms in place of their own. I would add that almost every company I present myself to this way has commented on what a great idea and they wished other nurses could be as organised and do the same, or have someone do it for them. Hence my offer to do this for you!

With this set of pages you will generally have far fewer forms to have to complete for recruiters. Plus of course they have access to your forms and documents to review whether they might have an assignment that meets your needs without completing any forms whatsoever. It does not however mean that once you have accepted an assignment that there will not be some forms for you to complete; Tax forms, Any tests they want you to do, Perhaps a specific skills checklist, It does however save you a lot of time plus they will have copies of all your certificates etc.

Your pages can be "password protected" meaning that not only would they need your webpage address but also a userid and password to get in to see these documents. If you would like I will change the pasword for security purposes upon your emailed request at anytime. I change mine after I start each new assignment, which means recruiters you gave the location and password to in order to get an assignment will no longer have access to your documents, unless you give them the information again.

Ok now what does it cost?

Unfortunately this can not be a free service. I would estimate it will take me at least 5 hours creating these webpages for you, the longest time being spent on re-creating your resume in HTML format and completing the Generic Application form for you. However all of the forms take some time to create but in the long term they will be available 24 hours a day for those you give the address to:

I will create all the webpages and host them online 24 hours a day for you for a flat fee of $200.00. There will be no annual costs beyond the updates as shown below. Hosting fees are usually in the $25-50 a year range for simple websites this fee will be waived.

Once the site is completed to your satisfaction then any later changes, updates or additons to certificates, etc will be done for you at the following costs:

$5 for simple certificate updates ie new ACLS card.
$10 for new page for any new certificate added.
$20 to make changes to the Resume and Application form after each assignment is completed. Keeping it updated and current.

These fees are based on approximately $40/hr for work performed. These are set fees and I will not charge you more if it takes me longer for some reason.


What do I need from you in order to make a site for you?

1) Well you can either fax, snailmail (US Postal Service) or email me the information needed to complete each document. To create the colored files obviously you need to scan documents which if you have no scanner can be done at any Kinko's along with many other places. Faxed copies will mean you will have black and white documents which will still work for you, but does not look as pretty. SnailMailed colored copies and emailed scanned files will give you the colored files for your pages.

2) Email to me a copy of your resume. The one you send is the one that will be posted. I will not re-write your resume for you so make sure it is updated and in the format you would like before sending it to me. I will endeavour to keep the same format you use, however be aware HTML does not allow for all of MS-Word or WordPerfects formatting.

3) As you will note the generic application form requires information that most of us do not include in our resumes; examples of this would be the Address of the facility, the Name of Supervisor and his/her phone number, the size of the hospital and number of beds in your unit, the Name of of your travel company if it was a travel assignment. and a number of other items. All of this information can be emailed to me. please make sure you send the information for each job you have listed on your resume.

4) If you have no references available for the reference pages then by all means provide me with a list of people's names and telephone numbers that you would like to use for your references and I can create a page for this information. I do however recommend using the evaluation/reference tools available on http://nursetraveler.org and have a chargenurse at each assignment complete one that can be scanned and posted on your website.

5) Of course I also need your check for $200 mailed to me.

Your information provided to me is confidential. I will NOT reveal your website name, nor its password protection to anyone except you. You will be provided with a secret PIN number and will have to give this to me in order for any changes to be made either by telephone or email. I also guarentee not to mis-use the information you provide to me for the website for personal gain. I will NOT provide this information to any Recruiter or Travel Company on your behalf. That is for you to do.
